Bethany School in Alicante, Spain

Through your donations, SALT Leadership Inc. was able to help fund renovations to the kitchen of the Bethany School (Betania) in Alicante, Spain. John Hutchison and John Gourdier of Brandywine Valley Baptist Church in Wilmington, Delaware, traveled to Spain in early September 2016 to do the work. They shored up walls, installed windows, put up a hood for the two ranges, and brought in new stainless steel countertops for the work areas. “I don’t know how they cooked anything in there before,” John Hutchison commented when he first saw the kitchen. Because of John and John’s work, food preparation will be more sanitary, serving more efficient, and kitchen workers will have a fresh air flow to keep them more comfortable in the stifling heat of Spain in the summertime.
