Pastor Gabriel Orlando AgostiniNew Gabe photo 2-28-16

Founder and General Director of SALT Leadership Inc. Gabe started this ministry in September of 1999. Since then it has expanded to various countries around the world including Argentina, Peru, Chile, Spain, Italy, and Switzerland. SALT exists to train and prepare pastors and church leaders who have not had the opportunity to attend a formal educational program. Gabe is a graduate of the Instituto Alianza de Buenos Aires (Alliance Institute of Buenos Aires) with a Bachelors in Theology; Nyack College with a Bachelors in Humanities; and Trinity Divinity School with a Master of Divinity degree. Pastor Gabriel, along with his wife Judy, were missionaries to Peru from 1980-1991 and then to Venuezela from 1993-1997. They live in Wilmington, Delaware, in the USA and have a son, Andrew, who is studying medicine.

Dick Lawyer

Dick Lawyer is chairman of the Board of Directors of SALT Leadership. He retired in 2009 after 37 years as Pennsylvania Broadcast Editor for the Associated Press in Philadelphia. He studied theology at Conwell School of Theology and at Eastern Baptist Seminary while working as assistant pastor at Mount Hope United Methodist Church in Aston, Pennsylvania. Dick has taught theology and Biblical studies for nearly 50 years. He also teaches at a Christian Bible school in Korosten, Ukraine. Dick and his wife Linda attend Brandywine Valley Baptist Church near their home in Wilmington, Delaware. They have three adult daughters, 12 grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Dr. David Hard

Dr. David Hard joined SALT Leadership in 2013 as Professor, Assistant Director of the SETE program and director of development. After receiving his M.Div. degree in 1988 from Capital Bible Seminary, He served as the Senior Pastor of a church in Baltimore, for 3 years. While pastoring he began his Ph.D. studies in the doctoral program at Westminster Theological Seminary and graduated in 1997. In 1992, he joined the faculty of Cairn University (formerly Philadelphia Biblical University) and taught there for 21 years. Over a period of 21 years he has taught courses in church history, New Testament, theology, and Greek to hundreds of students. Dr. Hard also has served as interim pastor at six different churches and has led tour and study groups in Europe and Asia to study Christian history. Also he has taught courses internationally in Kiev (Ukraine), Chisinau (Moldova), Hong Kong, Peru, Argentina, Chile, and Tanzania. David and his wife Karen reside in Newark, Delaware, and have three adult children.

Pastor Jose Antonio Carcamo

Pastor Carcamo is a graduate of Instituto Teologico Temuco (Temuco Theological Institute) in Chile with a degree in Theology. He has served as a Christian Missionary Alliance pastor in Valdivia, Copiapo, and Temuco in Chile. He has taught at theological seminaries and was president of the faculty at the Korean Theological Institute in Copiapo. Since 2007 he has worked with SALT/SETE as a national coordinator in Chile and has taught in Chile, Argentina, Peru, Paraguay, and Bolivia. He has taught Evangelism, Discipleship, The Church and the Holy Spirit, Church Administration, Homiletics, and Sexuality in the Church. Pastor Carcamo resides in Temuco with his wife Ivette, and they have two adult daughters.

Pastor Chris Gregas

Pastor Gregas is currently the head pastor at SonRise Christian Fellowship in New Jersey. He received a degree in Pastor Counseling from Cairn University in 1985 and has been in Christian service for 30 years. He was host of an educational radio program called “Calvary’s Touch” and has taught at Christian college. Pastor Chris’s passion is to help the people of God find liberty in Christ and achieve maturity and stability in their Christian walk. His wife Janet and him have been married for 24 years and have four sons between 15 and 25 years old.

Pastor Ivan Morante

Pastor Morante studied at the Pontificia Universidad Catolica (Catholic Pontifical University) in Peru. He was forced to leave his studies due to problems with alcohol, but everything changed when two years later he received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. Pastor Ivan and his wife Ysabel have two children. In 1994 he enrolled at the Alliance Bible Institute (SEBAP) where he graduated from the program of Church Music and pursued a degree in theology. They have served the Lord at the Church of the Olives in Argentina, the Christian Missionary Alliance church of Monterrico, the IACyM of Condevilla, and currently at the IACy of Rimac. They work with other congregations in the development of ministries, event organization, and training church leaders.

Licenciado Jose Fonseca

Dean Fonseca is the Academic Dean of the Extension Programs at the Bible Institute of Buenos Aires, Argentina. He was born in the city of Angol, Chile, and is married to Raquel Gonzels. They have two children, Yesica and Alexi. He pursued studies at the Theological Institute at Temuco, Chile, and later studied at the Bible Institute of Buenos Aires where he received a BS in Theology. He has been in pastoral ministry in Chile and Argentina for more then 35 years. Currently he manages 19 study locations with a team of 32 professors teaching 380 students.

Dr. Flores Ciani

Dr. Ciani is the president of the Center for Development and Care of Active Love in Society, a non-profit that helps people at-risk both socially and medically. To that end he develops conferences and programs on radio, television, print, and the Internet. Dr. Ciani also founded with his wife, Dr. Cecilia Otero, the ministry “JN5 Fountain of Life,” was a pastor for over 10 years. He serves the body of Christ using his background as a therapeutic doctor and an evangelical pastor.

Pastor Juan Carlos Navarro

Pastor Navarro was born in Mexico and is a Baptist pastor. He studied Theology and Marriage Psychology at the Hispanic Baptist Theological Seminary and at the Walyand Baptist University in San Antonio, Texas. Currently, besides teaching classes in SETE, he is the Spanish pastor at Faith Baptist Church in Wilmington, DE. He is married to Dora Elva Navarro, they have three children, one of whom is waiting with the Lord to rejoin the rest of the family. Pastor Navarro has ministered in Venezuela, Costa Rica, Paraguay, Argentina, Peru, Chile, Guatemala, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Mexico, Romania, Puerto Rico, and Israel.

Dr. Steven Silverstein

Dr. Steven Silverstein is a biblical counselor, conference speaker, and author whose practice with Alternatives in Counseling, Inc. focuses on relationship issues. His doctorate in counseling from Westminster Seminary helped develop his spiritual gift of mercy which provides a ministry of comfort and compassion for the hurting. Steve’s knowledge of biblical truth and wisdom enables him to assist people who are suffering to know and experience the healing and Christ-likeness God desires to develop in our lives through trials. Steve and his wife Kathy live in Huntington Mills, Pennsylvania, USA and are parents of four children: Jason, Annette, Emily and Evelyn.

Charles L. Nault

The Founder and Chairman of the Board of Atrion Networking Corporation, Charles Nault was widely recognized throughout New England for his technical consulting. He was a Master Instructor of F-15 computer systems in the United States Air Force and has served on numerous boards and organizations. He helped found the Information Technology Academy, Rhode Island’s Tech Collective, the Chief Executives Club of Rhode Island, and The CEO Club of Boston, and was a Trustee of the Community College of Rhode Island Foundation. Mr. Nault has been a church missions director and has ministered in Haiti, Guatemala, Sri Lanka, Albania, and Africa. He is the former Executive Director of the Artic Mission, an inner-city relief organization in Rhode Island and is certified as a Biblical Counselor by the International Association of Biblical Counseling. In 2009 he released his first book, “Risk Free Technology,” published by Global Publishing Group. Mr. Nault lives in a Nashville, Tennessee suburb with his wife Brenda. They have five adult children, and four grandchildren.

 

Dr. Paul Deschenes

Dr. Paul Deschenes recently retired from Union University in Florida where he served as Director of Counseling Services and associate professor of psychology. He has taught Abnormal Psychology, Introduction to Psychology, Principles of Group Counseling and Psychology and Religion. He will continue to work in private practice and part-time counseling at Union University. Dr. Deschenes has a BA degree in Psychology from the University of Florida and a Masters in Clinical Psychology from Biola University in Los Angeles, California. His areas of interest are stress management, marital counseling, conductive cognitive therapy, the use of counseling disciplines and spiritual growth, and Christian-based counseling. At 27 he received Christ as his savior and with his wife Diane has served the Lord for 28 years. They have two adult children.

Dora Reinaltt

Dora Reinaltt is a graduate of the Peru Alliance Biblical Seminary (SEBAP). She has been director of Christian Education at various churches in addition to being a missionary for 25 years with APEN (Alliance for Child Evangelism) in Peru. She is currently director of CEF (Child Evangelism Fellowship). Her passion is to reach children with the gospel and educate church leaders on ways to achieve that. She works closely and very successfully with SETE’s Christian Education seminars. Dora has two daughters and she is a grandmother.

Dr. Paul Benware is a prolific author, and recently retired from the faculty of Arizona Christian University. He also has served on the faculty of Los Angeles Baptist College, Moody Bible Institute and Division of Biblical Studies Philadelphia Biblical University (Cairn). He has his bachelor’s degree in humanities from Los Angeles Baptist College, his master’s in theology from Dallas Theological Seminary and a doctorate in theology from Grace Theological Seminary. Dr. Benware has served the Lord in many local churches and is convinced that the local church is critical in carrying out the mission of Christ throughout the world. Currently he teaches courses both in the States as well as overseas, as well as being involved in Bible conferences an pulpit supply. Dr. Benware resides with his wife Anne in Arizona. They have four children and seven grandchildren

Dr. Ronald Newman

Dr. Ron Newman has been teaching seminars and courses for pastors and church leaders throughout South America with the ministries of Prof. Gabe Agostini since 1993 Dr. Ron’s trips have taken him to dozens of cities in Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru, Chile and Argentina where his teaching emphasis has been in the practical theology topics involving Christian counseling, discipleship and transformational coping. Dr. Newman is a licensed psychologist and Board Certified Professional Christian Counselor who has been working as a mental health professional in South Jersey, USA since 1980. After earning his bachelor’s degree in psychology from West Virginia University, Dr. Newman went to Christ for the Nations Institute for a degree in Practical Theology, followed by a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Trinity Evangelical School of Divinity in 1980. He earned his doctorate (Ph.D.) from Temple University in 1990. In 1998, he founded the Christian Counseling Consortium of South Jersey, a forum for pastors and Christian counselors, when he began his solo private practice.  In all of his work and ministry, he seeks to utilize the best of what research in the field of psychology has to offer in a manner that does not compromise Biblical truth.
